Born in 2023, the Amphora Guide began as a physical booklet and digital portal showcasing our handpicked selection of brands and installations at Dubai Design Week.
As our agency grew and our involvement with the regional design community expanded, our guide evolved with it: we launched a dedicated Milan Design Week edition and, this year, took an extra step by sharing not only our curated favourites from the fair but also a collection of interviews and highlights featuring the leading voices in our industry.
We hope this edition brings you as much inspiration as it brought us in creating it.

OMAR AL GURG
For the few unfamiliar with the name, Omar Al Gurg is one of the region’s leading design voices and the founder of Dubai-based MODU Method. Over the years, his work has garnered global recognition for a uniquely playful yet purposeful approach, blending 1970s design cues with the region’s architectural heritage.
A few months ago, we asked him to create the perfect Dubai guide for all the design aficionados visiting the city during Design Week. The result is this list of 13 spots: an eclectic selection that offers a taste of Dubai’s many facets and will leave you eager to return and explore more.
