Downtown Design 2025: Poltrona Frau presents “The Five Seasons Collection”

At the fair, within its exhibition space, Poltrona Frau opens the doors to its comprehensive universe, spanning from contract to residential collection, while at the monobrand store clients are invited to discover one of the latest novelties: the DressCove Night System, the brand’s first wardrobe and walk-in closet collection.

Dubai, UAE, 5th November 2025 - Poltrona Frau, a global leader in high-end furnishings and an ambassador of Italian craftsmanship, takes part in Downtown Design 2025 with a showcase featuring key products from “The Five Seasons Collection”, alongside a home cinema area dedicated to a short film that highlights the expertise of the brand’s Custom Interiors Business Unit.

Over the years, the Custom Interiors Business Unit has played a leading role in some of the most significant contract projects across the Middle East. Poltrona Frau collaborated with Jean Nouvel on the seating for the Louvre Abu Dhabi, as well as for landmark destinations such as the Dubai Opera and Abu Dhabi Airport, among others. The brand has also been selected for its outstanding expertise in auditorium seating for projects including the King Fahad Cultural Centre in Riyadh and the Maraya Concert Hall in Alula, as well as for hospitality spaces such as The Chedi Hotel in AlUla.

It was therefore a natural choice to present a short film during Downtown Design Dubai, showcasing the exceptional know-how of the Custom Interiors Business Unit — a division distinguished by its ability to interpret the unique vision of each architect, seamlessly combining heritage and craftsmanship while respecting the cultural landscape of every project.

Downtown Design 2025:

At the fair, the exhibition space is divided into three distinct areas, each illustrating different living environments: home cinema, dining e living space.

At the heart of the home cinema area stands the Pillow Cinema armchair – an emblem of Poltrona Frau’s forward-looking approach to comfort and intelligent design. Featuring a reclining mechanism, integrated lighting, and smart accessories such as a cooling and heating cup holder with wireless charging, it reimagines the home cinema experience through refined innovation.

Poltrona Frau has identified an opportunity in the evolving home cinema landscape, where advances in audio and video technology and the demand for enhanced entertainment experiences are redefining how people enjoy films and how living spaces should evolve both aesthetically and technologically.

With its distinctive craftsmanship and design innovation, Poltrona Frau continues this evolution through the custom edition of the Fidelio Multimedia Cabinet, conceived specifically to support the Leica Cine 1 smart laser TV. Designed as a refined furnishing piece for home entertainment, it combines Pelle Frau® Saddle leather detailing, moka ash backing, and tone-on-tone wire stitching in a structure that is as functional as it is elegant.

Entertainment has long played a central role in Poltrona Frau’s identity: a story that began in the contract sector, where the company established its reputation for excellence in auditorium seating, and which now seamlessly extends into the residential dimension.

“Our vision is to shape environments where excellence in craftsmanship meets contemporary living. Our work is not just about products but about creating experiences that connect people with culture and comfort. Dubai stands as an essential crossroad for creativity, where visionary contract projects are conceived and developed.” — Nicola Coropulis, CEO of Poltrona Frau.

Alongside this showcase, Poltrona Frau also presents select highlights from “The Five Seasons Collection”, first unveiled at Salone del Mobile 2025 in Milan.

The dining area features the Mesa Ellipse table by Lella and Massimo Vignelli, a product that embodies timeless elegance with its elliptical marble top – available in Arabescato Venato or Calacatta finishes – supported by a sculptural steel base. Paired with the Leplì dining chair and armchair by Kensaku Oshiro, the ensemble celebrates refined craftsmanship and subtle innovation, demonstrating how great design can evolve over time while remaining timeless.

In the living area the Blisscape sofa by Ludovica Serafini and Roberto Palomba celebrates intimate and relaxed comfort through its sculptural leather framework and plush cushions, while the Downtown Lounge armchair by Jean-Marie Massaud introduces an aerodynamic silhouette that balances classic sophistication with effortless ergonomics, seamlessly blending the functionality of contract seating with the comfort of residential design.

With an artistic dimension enriching the showcase, Poltrona Frau collaborates with digital artist Six N. Five to unveil three new creations: the Moonbeam table lamp, the Foliage floor lamp, and the Memoria rug

The Moonbeam lamp reinterprets a lunar eclipse through glass and brass elements, upholstered in Pelle Frau® leather that shifts in color from blue to red to white. The Foliage floor lamp evokes a sculptural tree form that transforms when illuminated, symbolizing the intimate relationship between light, nature, and materiality. Completing the ensemble, the Memoria rug, hand-knotted in silk, captures the interplay of light and nature in fluid, harmonious tones.

Monobrand store showcase:

Building on this approach, the brand also showcases its 2025 novelties at its monobrand store in Dubai.

For the first time, Poltrona Frau introduces at its Jumeirah showroom the DressCove Night System, its first wardrobe and walk-in closet collection, further expanding its offering for the bedroom area. This launch reinforces the brand’s commitment to evolving contemporary living through craftsmanship and design excellence, offering a seamless blend of functionality, elegance, and innovation.

For this new chapter, Poltrona Frau has commissioned architect and designer Dante Bonuccelli; the project blends innovation, design, craftsmanship, and the elegance of Pelle Frau®, harmoniously combined with wood and other materials to create fully customizable furniture.

Emotion and functionality, passion and precision: the wardrobes and walk-in closets impress on every level. Among the many innovations is a new upright system that offers an alternative to traditional wardrobe sides, providing equally stable yet visually lighter structures.

A concealed yet sophisticated lighting system is integrated within the uprights or along the shelves, illuminating the interiors. Technical materials, such as lightweight yet structural aluminium, interact with the warmth of wood and Pelle Frau® leather to create a sumptuous tactile and visual experience

Both Dubai locations — Jumeirah and Mall of the Emirates — will present a wide selection from ‘The Five Seasons Collection’, available for purchase.
